Pleasanton Smog and Repair offers smog checks on a first come, first serve basis. California residents are required to undergo smog testing ever 2 years. When you move to California, this test must be done within 20 days of establishing residency. Out of state smog inspection stickers do not suffice. You must present a CA smog inspection certificate when registering your vehicle. Diesel vehicles, hybrids, motorcycles, and trailers also must complete smog checks as well. In these counties, only certain zip codes require smog checks:
When you come in for a smog test, you’ll need to present your driver’s license, proof of insurance, title (unless you are still making payments on the vehicle), and registration. Once your vehicle passes inspection, you’ll receive a certificate. If your car fails, we will advise you on the repairs needed to pass and then offer you a retest.
We also offer diagnostics for any make and model. Pleasanton Smog and Repair has a computer diagnostics system to uncover the cause of any repair, from minor to major. Our technicians will then go over with you in detail what the problem is and give you a time and cost estimate. Simple repairs or services such as fluid flushes, oil changes, filter changes, and other small fixes can be done the same day.
Whether your car isn’t drivable, in danger of engine or brake failure, or you just aren’t sure what that strange noise is, we can make the auto repairs you need. We work with almost every make and model. We have a large parts inventory and if we don’t have it, we can order it. Just a few of the repairs we complete include:
